Completion of a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathologist program from a recognized institution in the province of Ontario.

Current active registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.


Experience of working as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with adults in a community setting.


Experience with clients with swallowing disorders.


Excellent verbal and written English language skills.

French verbal and written language skills and other language skills are considered an asset, but not essential.

General Aptitude

Microsoft Office with basic computer skills an asset.

Primary Function:


Working as an integral member of CTG, the Speech-Language Pathologist holds the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to focus on a family centered model to provide services to clients in a community setting.  We pride ourselves on being team that is accountable, compassionate while respecting the individuality and dignity of each client, family and other team members.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides occupational therapy services to clients including establishing, monitoring and delivering occupational therapy to clients in a community setting
  • Promotes client safety by Following the Client Safety Standard and assessing for safety and risk of harm to the client
  • Liaises with Case Managers at referring agencies regarding client care
  • Confers with other professionals, service providers and family members/caregivers
  • Maintains records and statistics to a standard appropriate for medico-legal purposes, to professional standards, and as directed
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and serves on committees as required
  • Efficiently maintains and manages assigned caseload
