We are looking for a Nurse in Sacramento.

This position is part-time at 10-15 hours per week.

Our Nurses conduct general physicals including a vision and hearing screening, obtain comprehensive developmental and medical history, and interpret medical reports and evaluations for the IEP team.

The health assessment is part of the assessment process to determine eligibility for special education services to meet the unique needs of special education pupils.

At TES, you will be a part of the solution, helping us achieve goals that allow all students to learn and thrive.As a Nurse with TES, you will:Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA and FERPA regulations.Interact with numerous clients and service providers on a daily basis.Conduct health assessments to determine the needs of the students.Provide support and training to schools on a variety of topics.Consult with teachers and other school personnel regularly.Conduct interviews with parents and teachers and review school records as needed.Interpret assessment results and compile comprehensive health assessment results that address the reason for referral and include appropriate recommendationsServe as a member of an IEP team.Conduct in-service training and workshops for teachers and other school staff.Serve as liaison between the student, home, school, physician, and community agencies.Maintain accurate case records.Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.Speak to numerous clients and service providers on a daily basis.Work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities while remaining composed and objective.Understand and comply with all TES Protocols and Procedures in relation to job expectations.Maintains expertise in the subject matter by continuing research, study, and application.You will need the following minimum qualifications to be considered: a Bachelor’s degree in a related field a valid California School Nurse credential and a Registered Nurse license issued by the state a valid Audiometry certificate knowledge of CA Education Code and CA Code of Regulations, and Office of Education schools’ policies, rules, and regulations experience in compliance monitoring of state and federal regulations CPR and First Aide training familiarity with IEP databases hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving personal vehicle for work must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ a current TB Test (within the last 6 months)Preferred qualifications include: 2 years experience as a School Nurse bilingual in English & Spanish preferredABOUT TESTotal Education Solutions (TES) is a national provider of special education and therapeutic services to public, private, and charter schools as well as healthcare organizations servicing the United States, with offices in California, Michigan, and Ohio.
