Description Emory Healthcare is currently looking for an experienced Specialty Director of Perioperative Services to join the surgical team at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital (ESJH).

The hospital boasts 410 beds, 26 operating room suites and four endoscopy suites, with room to grow.

As division leader of the Perioperative Services team, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with nationally recognized physicians to advance medical discoveries and improve clinical outcomes on behalf of our patients.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assures 24-hour, efficient management of the perioperative services division in an acute care facility, including Pre-op, OR, CVOR, PACU, Endoscopy Unit and sterile processing departments Delivers high quality health care services and high performance for patient, physician and employee satisfaction Works with department leadership to oversee day to day management of unit operation, assuring quality, efficiency and appropriateness in patient care as well as management of fiscal and material resources Responsible HR management tasks for the department, including personnel counseling with department leadership, retention of highly qualified nursing staff, and job performance evaluations Responsible for strategic and capital planning and direction related to the hospital’s annual operating plan and key Emory Healthcare system-wide strategies Functions as the quality officer for Perioperative services following best practices in the industry MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 3 to 5 years progressive management experience with at least 7 years in the field Master’s degree is required; MSN preferred.

If a master’s degree is in a business or other applicable health related field other than nursing, a BSN is required National certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration required Membership in a national nursing organization or a healthcare organization is required Current Georgia Professional registered nursing license is required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: LEAN management experience Operating Room Director experience
