Position Highlights:

Under general supervision of the Administrator and the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing manages Nursing Department’s human and material resources, with responsibility and accountability for the provision of quality nursing care and service to facility residents/families, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and adherence to company policy/procedure and budgetary guidelines. Functions with extensive autonomy in daily nursing department operations. Technical assistance, professional guidance, and quality monitoring is provided by the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and Administrator.


*Current registration and licensure in the state of Iowa as an RN. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.

*Current, valid CPR Certification.

*Familiarity with Federal and State long-term care regulations and laws.

*This full-time position also includes Infection Control Duties.

*Ideal candidates will have RN license in good standing with LTC/SNF experience.

*Work history in a long-term care setting and gerontological nursing.

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences:

*Six months of skilled care nursing experience

*LPN certification

Preferred Qualification and Experiences:

*RN Certification

*2+years of skilled care

*Nurse supervisory experience
