– Day Surgery .

Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Clinical Coordinator, Ambulatory Services, and the Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse for Day Surgery is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients undergoing ambulatory procedures.

The Registered Nurse in Day Surgery provides direction to Licensed Vocational Nurses and non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.

The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.

Qualifications Qualifications: Certifications: Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS and PALS certification required Experienced nurses must complete ACLS and PALS within six (6) months from the date of hire.


Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required.

BSN preferred Experience: Previous experience with ambulatory care experience preferred.
