The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) has an immediate opening for an experienced GA Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), with the responsibility of assisting individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness, to attain and maintain maximum functional skills.

The Rehabilitation staff nurse develops goals in collaboration with patients, their families and the Rehab team to focus on disease management / prevention, gaining functional independence and encouraging socialization with others.

The RN participates in the interdisciplinary team process at team conferences and meetings, as well as provides input in team decision-making.

The award-winning Rehab team at Kennestone Regional Medical Center is CARF/ Stroke Specialty accredited in a Level II trauma facility and is an active member of the Neuroscience service line.

The Registered Nurse RN is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care.

Every other weekend requirement; Rotating Holiday Schedule Required Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position.
