POSITION SUMMARY Located at ARRMC, our Behavioral Health Unit is the area ‘s only inpatient BHU.

As a one of a kind inpatient unit, we serve nine counties throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California.

Our mission is to continually improve care for patients who are facing a mental health crisis.

We use a widely recognized trauma informed approach to our mental health care and have created a resiliency program called team CARE response for our employees.

Recently expanding our unit to 24 beds with a beautiful garden view, our nurses are specialized in proper assessment, safely addressing and monitoring a patient ‘s behavioral condition.

While we prefer nurses, who have experience with mental health, we often consider nurses who have acute care experience and hold a strong compassion for psychiatric patients.

In addition, renovations were made to the Psychiatric Care Unit housed in the Emergency Department that offers additional psychiatric beds.

– The average patient census is 18 and nurse to patient ratios are 6:1.

The average patient stay is 9 days.
