– 7 North Atrium Day Rotator position
– 12 hour shifts Are you an experienced RN, passionate about bringing your expertise to a General Medicine Unit?

If so, you are the right candidate for our RN position in 7 North Atrium Position Highlights: 32 Bed Adult Medical Unit
– Acute and chronic diseases, unknown diagnosis opportunity to see everything.

Day Rotator
– 12 hour shifts The unit provides multidisciplinary team focus to manage complex medical patient populations.

Self & flexible scheduling opportunities Supportive leadership and staff; preceptor orientation provided Opportunity to provide expert nursing care to a stimulating variety of medical patients Staff nursing opportunities to participate in research, teaching and other activities for professional development.

Position Responsibilities: Establishes a caring, therapeutic relationship with patients and families through effective communication, acknowledgement of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes.

Utilizes competent assessment skills to holistically evaluate the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and families.

Participates in the collection of data to support unit based quality initiatives, research and evidence based activities.

Assesses patient safety needs consistently and implements appropriate strategies (fall precautions, infection control, and suicide risk patient identification) to minimize risk.

Individualizes teaching plans based on a thorough assessment to meet the learning needs of patients and families.

Demonstrates the ability to provide education to staff and students on the unit Demonstrates beginning leadership skills related to patient care.

Position Qualifications Include: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure BSN ( or higher) required 1
– 2 years of medical or surgical experience required CPR/BLS required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross only).
