Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Project Leader, Clinical Applications Position Highlights: The ClinDoc/CPOE/ASAP Project Lead provides hands-on expertise to deploy solutions for the Rush enterprise.

The IS Project Lead works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will support Epic’s ClinDoc/CPOE/ASAP application as well as other clinical applications requested by Rush.

Under minimal supervision, leads small teams in analyzing problems in terms of Rush workflows/policies/procedures, Epic functionality, end-user knowledge, and training requirements.

He/she is a recognized expert for his/her application(s) and applies knowledge of Epic functionality to address Rush issues.

Leads or participates in end-user design and validation meetings and supports roll-out of new implementations by coordinating or participating in end-user acceptance testing, design of training modules, integrated testing and command center support.

Supports live applications and sites by sharing on-call support, monitoring Help Desk tickets and designing enhancement and optimization solutions.

Advises users and committees on information systems issues.

Position Responsibilities Include: Leads team of analysts supporting the ClinDoc/CPOE/ASAP modules Able to lead medium sized teams for medium duration projects (up to 8 months) Maintains project plans, task lists, issues list and status reports Facilitates process and workflow discussions Applies project planning and project management methodologies Understands overall IT business functions and functions of our customers Tracks issues and problems through to their completion Assists with system testing and execution Facilitates development of policies and procedures Facilitates and prepares education materials Provides on-site user support during implementations Follows Change Management processes Handles multiple assignments simultaneously Learns and understands user department practices and procedures Position Qualifications Include: Minimum of 5 years’ experience Experience with one of the following Epic modules: ClinDoc/CPOE/ASAP, certification optional Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems or health care related field is required Implementation experience in a health care setting Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences.

Excellent analytical skills Well versed in overall business functions Command of common office tools (e.g.
