– 1st Shift, FT Position Highlights: Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting AVP & VP of Hospital Operations with the planning, implementation and management of projects in Hospital Operations.

This includes but is not limited to fiscal initiatives, process improvements and data analysis, and regulatory compliance.

The Project Coordinator will provide direct administrative support to the AVP & VP.

Position Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator is responsible for departmental financial and operational data collection and reporting and assures all are processed accurately and timely Prepares and assists with the Press Ganey patient satisfaction data collection and analyses, the development of action plans, and other tools/materials related to enhancing the Patient Experience.

Participates in the development, implementation, oversight and analysis of current and envisioned departmental financial and operational processes, programs and projects that are designed to support hospital operations strategic plan or other initiatives.

Through data analysis, own observation, assignment and/or research, proposes changes to existing programs and processes, or identifies new programs or processes that support Rush’s mission, vision and goals.

The Project Coordinator, independently, obtains, analyzes and reports benchmarking and other data designed to provide insight into, improve or evaluate department progress towards annual goals Interacts with staff at all levels in the organization.

Assists in annual capital and operating budget preparation.

Manages the data collection and analysis of departmental dashboards.

Provides direct administrative support for the Vice President and Associate Vice President and contributes to the overall departmental office functions.

Specific tasks may include meetings scheduling, agenda setting for committee or departmental meetings, and such items as assistance with employee recognition and purchasing Records minutes and distributes as appropriate.

Assists in planning and arranging special departmental functions, and travel arrangements Position Qualifications Include: Bachelor’s degree in management or a health related field with minimum of 3 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience where the required knowledge skills and abilities have been acquired.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Able to work and problem-solve independently and efficiently.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
