Position Overview We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant for our Immediate Care Centers located in Lake County, IL (Mundelein, Round Lake Beach, Lake Bluff, Gurnee, Hainesville, etc).

This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible.

Immediate Care Centers are open seven days a week: weekdays between 8:00 a.m.

and 8:00 p.m.

and weekends between 8:00 a.m.

and 5:00 p.m.

Late evenings and every other weekend (Sat & Sun) are required.Travel between sites will be required.

We offer a comprehensive 12-week orientation program that consists of didactic teaching, SIM lab and hand-on training at various Immediate Care sites led by the Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine physicians.

Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide comprehensive health care services under the direction and supervision of an assigned physician Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment to patients specific to their area of expertise Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection Performs independent evaluation and treatment procedures in emergency situations in accordance with policies established Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have: Current Physician Assistant license in the state of IL required DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred BLS/CPR certification required Prior PA experience required Procedural experience highly preferred Please explore our website (www.northshore.org) to better understand how NorthShore delivers on its mission “to preserve and improve human life” through superior clinical care, academic excellence and innovative research.
