Assists the Medical Director to plan, organize, implement and maintain the hospital’s Occupation Medicine Program.

Works closely with the Occupational Medicine clinical professionals to facilitate and promote the program and its communication with client employers.

Works closely with Human Resources and Administration to facilitate and coordinate the hospital’s employee health and internal occupational medicine services.

Requirements MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure and Certification : Current California nursing license.

Current BLS Education Required :ADN or AS from an Accredited School of Nursing.

Experience Required :Two years occupational medicine and/or work health.

Previous supervisory experience Other Qualifications : Classification : Exempt PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: BSN from an Accredited School of Nursing Certificate of Occupational Health Nursing Medical group or clinical operations experience ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Computer Skills: Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, as well as web-based database programs and the Internet.

Math Ability: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of critical thinking and logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism.

Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Maintains and demonstrates competency in infections control, safety and all unit required skills Strong managerial skills, including coaching and mentoring Strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills including customer service skills A team player, adaptive and collaborative while working across the organization Demonstrates good judgment and discretion regarding confidentiality of sensitive issues.

Extensive knowledge of workers compensation processes and regulations Knowledge of employee health regulatory requirements (Title 22, Joint Commission, CDC)
