Services provided by the Trauma ICU include but are not limited to: * Care to medically and surgically complex patients * Continuous EKG, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure monitoring with appropriate nursing interventions, cardiac output, SVO2, and/or ICP monitoring when required * Post-operative recovery for surgical patients who require critical care monitoring * Post-operative care to Neurosurgical patients * Care and monitoring of the intubated patient * Nursing staff participates in all Code Blues throughout the facility * Hemodialysis * Provide CARE team response to medical/surgical areas HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is currently looking for a Nurse Manager (RN) Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities: * Twenty-four hour (24) Seven (7) day/week, responsibility for all operational aspects of their respective unit * Human resource management, including recommending sufficient number of qualified and competent personnel to provide care; financial and clinical management, and the provision and development of professional leadership * Establishes departmental goals and objectives that ensure high quality, cost-effective patient care, while working collaboratively to integrate the goals of their department.

* The philosophy of continuous quality improvement (CQI) is integrated by the Nurse Manager into all ongoing operations and activities of the department.

* Provide relief staffing within their unit, and to apply knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.

Qualifications Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required * Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred * Five (5) years acute critical care experience preferred.

Trauma ICU experience is required.

* Three (3) years progressive nursing management experience * Current RN licensure by Texas Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.

* BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association
