Our UT Health Pittsburg hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Technician/Medical Lab Technician (MT/MLT).

We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Laboratory department where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing: The MT/MLT performs technical procedures in such areas as Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Point of Care Testing.

Will be required to perform specimen collection, specimen processing and phlebotomy as applicabe.

Accurately and effectively collecting, processing and testing all specimens submitted to the laboratory for diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Performs daily and periodic maintenance on instruments.

Responsible for professional growth and image.

Exhibits excellent customer service behaviors to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers.

Responsible for compliance with safety, infection control and security policies and procedures.

Participates in performance improvement and quality control programs.

Details: So what experience are we looking for in our MT/MLT s?

MLT-Associates degree in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent degree in health science.

Alternative must meet eligibility requirements for ASCP, AMT MT-Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology; Clinical Lab Science or equivalent degree in health science.

Alternative must meet eligibility requirements for ASCP, AMT or Clia 88 regulation.

Registered with any recognized Laboratory organization such as ASCP, AMT or ASMT.

Minimum of 1-2 years experience in clinical laboratory preferred.

Ability to operate technology/equipment consistent with current industry standards.

Working knowledge of computers.

Excellent customer service.
