What You Will Do As a Medical Technologist with St.

Vincent’s Health Services, you will have the opportunity to perform Laboratory Testing of patient specimens in the Hematology section of the Laboratory.:Performs diagnostic/analytic hematology testing of specimens.

Interprets, documents and reports test results.Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and references ranges for test methods.Serves as a resource to staff as needed.Responsible for training and mentoring of staff and students.Maintain continuing education standards and competencies per department policy.Actively involved in quality assurance program within the department.Other as assignedWhat You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:Required Credential(s): Certified Education: Bachelor’s Level Degree ( BS Degree in Medical Technology OR BS Degree in Biology REQUIRED) 1 year of previous experience working in a Clinical Laboratory PREFERRED Able to perform Phlebotomy Able to perform Manual Testing Procedures Able to operate and troubleshoot complex Laboratory Instrumentation E-Verify Statement To comply with federal regulations of the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), all employees are required to complete an Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9).
