Position Overview: Invision Sally Jobe is looking for a Medical Assistant who will assist our genetic counseling team by acting as a liaison between genetic counselors, patients, and our nurse navigators.

As the Medical Assistant you will assist with blood draws and cheek swabs, scheduling patients for genetic counseling appointments, data entry for medical records, and setting up rooms.

You’ll support in preparing reports for follow up treatment to outline patients’ journey with us.

A strong candidate will be someone who is empathetic and passionate about providing comfort and care to all patients, in particular breast cancer patients.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patient and attention to organization and detail.

This is an evolving role within a new team.

We provide education, support, and coordinated healthcare to our patients by collaborating with sub-specialized radiologists and other medical professionals within the community.

Performance Objectives: Within 15 days you will be proficient working independently in all systems relating to genetic counseling work flow.

Additionally be able to comfortably preform cheek swabs/ blood draws on genetic counseling patients.

Within 30 days or less you will be scheduling and triaging patients as needed.

Within 60 to 90 days you will be assisting in the preparation and documentation of medical reporting.

Provides a high standard of care for all patients and a professional attitude with all medical personnel.

Requirements: Medical Assistant certification or LPN license 3-5 years of experience, oncology experience preferred Strong and efficient computer skills
