Your capacity to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and promote the highest standards of care and safety is critical to the mission of HSS.Responsibilities+ Performs all required immunological and serological procedures using a variety of equipment.+ Performs manual methodologies such as enzyme immunoassays, immunofluorescent assays, immunofixation, and fluorescence microscopy.+ Performs all quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains all related records.+ Prepare solutions and reagents used in all tests, with particular attention to viability, lot number and expiration date of substance before using in the performance of tests.+ Process stat specimens expeditiously.+ Participate in the QA/PI process and improves performance based on results obtained from QI activities.+ Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams.+ Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment.+ Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital..Minimum Requirements+ Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field+ NYS Clinical Laboratory license and registration required+ 1 year of experience in immunology or serologyEssential Qualifications+ ASCP preferred+ Meticulous attention to detail+ Self-motivated and proactive; a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment+ Active participant in seeking solutions to problemsID: 2021-13805Hours per Week: 35Shift: DaysExternal Company Name: Hospital for Special SurgeryExternal Company URL: www.hss.eduStreet: 535 E 70th St
