This is a Full-time position in Forest Lake, MN posted May 30, 2019.

We offer a unique rotating schedule where the work week is Wednesday to Wednesday, then you are off for 7 days.

When on shift, you will live in the home of your client and are paid for 16 hours each day, assuming your client sleeps 8 hours at night.

This is a full time position with locations throughout the Twin Cities.

Home Health Aides perform personal cares and support services necessary for physical and emotional comfort of the Client and for maintenance of the home environment to enable the Client to remain safely and comfortably in the home.

Essential Functions: Support and assist Client with basic daily activities to maintain independence as well as providing services necessary to maintain Client’s personal health and safety Maintain proper handwashing techniques and Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment Read and understand the established Care Plan which may include : Assist with bowel and bladder control and devices Perform skin care as documented in the Care Plan Assist with bathing, grooming, haircare, skin care, foot care, oral hygiene, and daily living skills necessary for personal cleanliness Assist with dressing and undressing Assist with range of motion exercises and other exercise programs Medication reminders, assistance or administration including respiratory devices (nebulizer treatments and oxygen) as necessary Perform assistance with transfers (i.e.

in and out of bed, automobile, wheelchair, bathroom, and up and down stairs, etc.) Body alignment, positioning and movement for non-ambulatory or mobility restricted Clients Apply and maintain prosthetics and orthotics Monitor and record temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure Accompany Client to medical appointments, shopping and errands as directed by DON and maintain receipts for shopping and errands Other cares as noted on the Care Plan Provide nutritious meals, assist with eating if necessary.

Encourage fluids and nutritional snacks and monitor special diets Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain household (including clean-up of bodily fluids and accidents as necessary) and Perform laundry tasks as necessary Immediately report and document changes in the Client’s condition and needs to the DON.

Daily charting to accurately and completely document the cares given, pertinent observations, and tasks completed Recognize emergencies and have knowledge of emergency procedures Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines including reporting all self and Client injuries or accidents to management in a timely manner Maintain absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to Clients, families and employees Maintain positive and effective communication with all staff and others.

Interact politely and professionally with Clients, family, visitors, and co-workers.

Treat Client and family members with respect Complete and participate in in-service programs to meet State of MN licensure compliance requirements, in a timely manner Assess physical and emotional needs of Client and be able to respond appropriately.

Entertain Client, read aloud, play cards or games, write letters, etc.

Observe for and report any issues related to abuse, neglect or exploitation per regulatory guidelines Rotate weekends and holidays as needed to meet the needs of the Client Perform other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary Required Qualifications : Must be at least eighteen (18) years old Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be a United States citizen or have evidence of valid alien work permit Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a position requiring hands-on cares to a vulnerable recipient and be able to pass a written skills test and demonstrate ability to perform HHA services specified by Home Care Solutions.

Ability to read, comprehend and write English so care and other directions are read and carried out and necessary documentation is completed Adhere to company dress code at all times Preferred Qualifications : Desired credentials include HHA, CNA, NA, PCA, LPN Physical Demands: Heavy physical demands involve assistance to transfer Client, bending, kneeling, stooping and stretching Lift more than 25 pounds routinely and more than 50 pounds occasionally Adaptable to interact with a wide variety of individuals and temperaments Must have dependable transportation Application Process: Step 1: Please click the “Apply” button and send us your resume.
