General Define data needs, request and exchange data and reports to/from external sourcesPerform data quality and data discovery analysesPerform routine and ad hoc data analysis, synthesis, and forecasting of claims, quality, utilization, cost and membership dataTranslate business requests into actionable reports and business recommendationsDesign data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate resultsEvaluate and report issues to management that impact the quality of data outputsIdentify areas of opportunity to improve the data management system to ensure data accuracy and reporting efficiencyProvide thorough documentation of analytical assumptions and reporting processesDesired SkillsA strong understanding of the operations of the US healthcare system in the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid marketsExperience with healthcare administrative data including enrollment/membership, attribution, medical and Rx claims and clinical data from EMRs/EHRsExperience with healthcare clinical coding systems (CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-10, NDC, MDC, DRG, etc.) and risk adjustment methodologiesProficiency with data extraction and file manipulation using multiple data sourcesExperience with accountable care and value-based payment arrangementsAbility to document all aspects of his/her work and share knowledge with colleaguesAbility to define business problems, assess relevant variables and forces that impact the issue, and recognize relevant patterns in dataStrong verbal, communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently with flexibility to new or varied responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to structure complex problems and derive insights from dataBachelor’s degree preferred2+ years of experience within the healthcare data analytics industryProficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and R, Python and/or SASExposure to regression models, decision trees and clustering techniques is a plusAdditional InformationGood To HaveWorking into Healthcare domain
