Head of Framingham Facilities and EngineeringThe Facilities and Engineering (F&E) organization consists of the following functional groups: Engineering, Business Process & Project Controls, Commissioning and Qualification, Requalification, Validation, Engineering Documentation, Facilities, Housekeeping, Metrology and Maintenance Systems and Methods.The Framingham F&E organization will support the following groups at the Framingham campus: (1) Framingham Biologics
– comprised of commercial Fabrazyme, Thyrogen and Global Cell Banking operations as well as the 8NYA Biologics Facility and (2) Framingham Campus
– in the context of programs/projects requiring approval, planning and execution across the Sanofi groups on the Framingham campus.

While each business has its own Engineering support group, the Framingham F&E organization will interact with all of these groups on projects/programs with campus impact.This organization is responsible for providing Engineering and Maintenance support for all cGMP process and utility systems at Framingham Biologics, maintaining these systems in a validated state of control and ensuring uninterrupted business continuity.

This organization is also responsible for shared GMP and non GMP systems on the Framingham campus as defined by Service Level Agreements and this role will support key campus stakeholders including but not limited to Research & Development, Science, Global Manufacturing Sciences and Technology.

This organization is also responsible for non GMP maintenance of buildings on the Framingham campus in conjunction with North America Sanofi Business services (SBS) and is the main group interfacing with SBS.This position reports to the General Manager and Site Head of Framingham Biologics, with a dotted line to the Head of Engineering, Specialty Care Operations, with accountability to the Framingham Campus Leadership Team.This position sits on the Framingham Biologics Site Leadership Team (SLT) and will also serve as a member of which is responsible for defining and implementing the site/campus operations strategy and ensuring the site remains in compliance with all safety, environmental, security and legal requirements.Specific Responsibilities:Provide direct oversight in the fulfillment of the following specific responsibilities:Develop mid to long-term priorities and strategy for the F&E organization that align with and deliver the Framingham Campus strategy.Establish and lead a team that maintains cGMP process and utility systems in a state of control and provides operational support to Manufacturing and Campus operations.Ensure the utilities, maintenance, facilities, equipment, controls and communication systems are maintained in full compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, security, cGMP requirements and corporate standards.Maintain a highly effective safety culture within daily operations, and work performed by contractors and on projects.Institute organizational tools that allow for intake, prioritization and completion of priorities.Drive a high performance Facilities and Engineering team with effective programs, practices and work flows and strong technical capability to provide effective and practical Facilities and Engineering solutions.Implement Project Management and Project Control best practices and ensure appropriate project control proceduresManage the execution of the approved capital program for site and campusEnsure effective implementation of Engineering and Maintenance standards in accordance with local and corporate standards.Leadership QualificationsAn ongoing commitment to conducting our global business according to the highest legal and ethical standards, and to continually pursue excellence in the development and delivery of all of our products and services.
