Do you have your boots ready?

DRIVE AND DETERMINATION As an Environmental Technician, you understand the true meaning of hard work.

You are smart, strong, and willing to get dirty.

You have responsibilities both out in the field monitoring field activities, gathering samples and directing subcontractors as well as in the office classifying samples, preparing field reports and boring/sample logs, preparing/shipping laboratory samples and assisting project managers with report preparation.

Your trained eye helps you write effective field reports that management is proud to hand to a client.

RESPONSIBILITIES You will be part of a dynamic, growing and energized team – and your role is key to the success of ECS.

While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in: Sampling and assessments of soil, groundwater, air and other materials Observing and documenting field activities Assessments on asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint and mold Using field screening equipment and documenting readings Phase I ESA studies and other projects Working with GIS/GPS (a big plus) Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians and project managers Writing clear field reports of site activities each day Assisting with report production Want to experience what all this job really entails?

– All applicants to this Environmental Technician position will also be considered for the position of Construction Materials Field Technician unless you answer otherwise during the questionnaire on the next screen QUALIFICATIONS If you can accomplish the above, your boots are probably ready for walking right into this role.

Realistically though, you need the following to be considered: 0 – 1 year of related experience BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or a related discipline a definite plus Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – Mileage will be reimbursed Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with ECS policy PEOPLE ARE OUR FOUNDATION We love our employees and we show this through providing some great benefits.
