Emergency Room Travel Registered Nurse – ER RN

Unified Healthcare Staffing is seeking Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a 13-week Contract 7p-7a in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Must have a license in California Job Requirements: Must have a current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certificate Must have a CPR certificate Must have a current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certificate Must have BLS Must have current California RN License A TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum) certificate is preferred CCRN Certification is preferred CEN certificate preferred Must have two years recent experience (out of the last three years) in an Emergency Department in an acute care hospital or Trauma Center CEN certificate preferred Specialty Specific Competencies: Ensure patient’s safety in the Emergency Room environment by assessing and proactively implementing safety measures with specific consideration of patient’s functional and developmental age and trauma.

Adhere to standards and policies for pain management with specific consideration of patient’s functional and developmental age, gender, cultural and or personal preferences.

Serve as patient advocate at all times in the Emergency Department.

Perform physical and psychosocial assessment of all age groups of patients in the Emergency Department setting that demonstrates knowled g e and consideration of age specific and cultural differences.

Modify Nursing care to meet the age specific requirements of the newborn (0 to 30 days), Pediatric (1 to 12 years), adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18 to 70 years), and geriatric (7 1 years) patients.

Demonstrate adherence to COBRA/EMTALA requirements.

Function within scope of practice as defined by job description and Nurse Practice Act for an Emergency Department RN.

Demonstrate knowledge of all applicable professional regulatory practice acts and state and federal regulations regarding Emergency Room Nursing care and patient assessment such as Rape & abuse reporting requirements.

Perform appropriately Nursing interventions & routine tasks including triage and code situations in the Emergency department.

Demonstrate the ability to provide care in Emergency situations and to follow established emergency procedures in hospital.
