Description Location: Jackson West Medical Center Status: Full Time Shift: Days Position Summary The Director, Business Physician Develop and Strategic Planning administers, organizes and directs a multi-faceted business development program for Jackson West Medical Center.

The Director of Business Physician Develop and Strategic Planning is responsible for all business development initiatives including facility start-up and expansion, strategic planning, program development, marketing, and all physician, patient, community and media relations.

Facilitates strategic planning processes for Jackson West Medical Center.

Responsible for facilitating expansion plan and healthcare services, by providing oversight, direction and coordination of physician recruitment and service line development during the start-up phase of a new hospital.

Develops, recommends and presents long and short-term strategies.

Identifies potential integration and expansion opportunities.

Participates in and facilitates strategic planning processes for the area assigned.

Develops initiatives that support the mission of Jackson Health System.

Conducts accurate market analyses to determine demand for services and identify program opportunities for new/expanded hospital programs and healthcare services.

Develops annual marketing and business development budget.

Monitors expenses and budget variance.

Directs the physician relations program for Jackson West Medical Center including recruitment and development.

Oversees development of advertising, collateral and other paid exposures for Jackson West Medical Center products and services.

Qualifications Selection Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Competency in Spanish language preferred.

Generally requires 10 or more years of related experience.

Leadership experience is required.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance to make improvements or take corrective action.

Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.

Ability to establish goals and objectives.

Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
