Position Highlights: The Clinical Research Coordinator I coordinates clinical research studies and performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, and documentation of clinical research data.

The Research Coordinator I works to ensure clinical research is conducted in accordance with the protocol, local, state, and federal guidelines, and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of conducting clinical trials including, but not limited to: pre-study assessment, study start-up, initiation activities, recruitment, screening, enrollment, study participant visits, subject follow-up, completion of the case report forms, adverse event reports, and study close-out.

Educate study participants regarding study procedures, visit schedule, and communication with the study team.

Organize and participate in auditing and monitoring visits.

Obtain, possess, and transport specimens to appropriate laboratory according to study requirements and established aseptic techniques.

Communicate and partner with the Office of Research Affairs, Office of Research Compliance, and Corporate Finance as needed to facilitate study progress.

Follow Federal and Rush guidelines in the collection of clinical data and/or administration of clinical studies.

Perform a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, and documentation of clinical research data.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications Include: Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Health Related Field required.

Ability to travel to off-site locations and/or investigator meetings.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience in a research setting preferred.
