BUILDing Girls 2 Women Therapist –Full-Time (40 hours per week), Exempt
The BUILDing Girls 2 Women Therapist (BG2WT) is responsible for effectively addressing the mental health needs of youth experiencing trauma through clinical assessment for youth referred to BUILD programs as well as in-field support and consultation; initial short-term treatment and referrals; establishing mental health/substance abuse referral partners and identifying opportunities for more formal collaboration; and facilitating external referrals, follow-through/support. Recognizing the vicarious trauma of staff working with crisis-oriented youth. The (BG2WT) reports directly to the of BUILDing Girls 2 Women Program Manager (BG2WPM).
Responsibilities/duties are but not limited to:
- Receives case assignments, establishes treatment plans, reviews case progress, and determines case closure through the supervisor of the assigned program.
- Maintain a clinical caseload of 20 BUILDing Girls 2 Women participants.
- Makes referrals in accordance with service plans to other organization units and external providers.
- Facilitate and track external referrals and follow-up.
- Assists members of the BUILDing Girls 2 Women team during crises involving youth.
- Support staff to identify youth mental health needs, provide support, and refer youth to community partners offering more intensive services.
- Maintains knowledge current on agency’s theories, methodologies, and best practices.
- Attends departmental and agency-wide staff meetings, as scheduled and agency-wide events as required.
- Document and report program activities and outcomes and ensure progress toward annual program objectives.
- Submits statistics and reports to the Manager of BUILDing Girls 2 Women on a bi-weekly and monthly basis and/or as needed.
- Maintains file compliance as required and compliance with CIS database requirements.
