– Fund Accounting Position Highlights: Responsible for all aspects of post-award financial management, including financial reporting, invoicing federal sub
– awards and monitoring grant expenditures in the Fund Accounting department.

Communicate effectively and assist others within the Medical Center (Chairman, Directors, researchers and administrators) as well as external agencies (Federal, State) on any issues or problems regarding an Activity.

Recording and controlling transactions that flow through activities.

Adhering to the policies and procedures mandated by the appropriate institutional agencies (NIH, Department of Human Services).

Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities: Customer Service-Handle phone questions and walk-in service in a courtesy manner Responds to inquiries from Principal Investigators/Director/Administrators regarding financial Grants management issues Monthly Journal entries Approve employee and non-employee travel reimbursements on Activities Distributes mail daily, deposit checks and file Login new activities and create new folders Prepare/submit invoices for Federal sub-award contracts Processes Research participant file Establish Activities for Endowments, Philanthropic contributions, External Grants Position Qualifications Include: High School/GED Accounting degree preferred but not required Grant accounting experience preferred but not required Computer experience: Excel, Word, Access, Analytical and Interpersonal skills Company Highlights: Ranked among the top academic medical centers in the country, Rush University Medical Center is an outstanding place to enhance your career.
